This is a family favorite. This recipe is dedicated to our grand-daughter Delaney. It is not a complete breakfast though without scrambled eggs and crispy hash browns. This is a hungry jack type breakfast and well worth the time and effort. Extras can be keeper for a quick reheat later in the week.

    Steps

    1
    Done

Brown and crumble sausage drain off excess oil. Set aside

    2
    Done

Over medium low heat melt butter add flour to make a roux. Make sure you don’t have heat too high! Slowly add half and half and cream whisking continuously until smooth. If too thick add a little milk until consistency you want. Add cooked crumbled sausage to gravy add salt, pepper and a few dashes of Tabasco sauce. If you want more heat add more Tabasco to your taste. Simmer on low for approximately 20 minutes. Do not boil!

    3
    Done

Bake buttermilk biscuits according to package.

    4
    Done

    Serve gravy over hot biscuits!
