Surf & Turf Saturday
It was a beautiful sunny Saturday for this November day. Temps were in the low 60’s and we got a few weekend chores accomplished early in the morning!
About 1:30 we decided to enjoy the early afternoon sun, so we hit the deck and had a quick beer! It was decision time on what to make for dinner. Decisions…Decisions.
We decided upon a Surf & Turf Evening. We will start out with some crab dressing baked in Clam Shells. Yep…we have some pre-made in the freezer. Then we agreed upon some Double K Kitchen Steak Bites seared in the Lodge 12 inch Yellowstone pan with a side of Smoky Bourbon Aoli sauce mixed with Bear & Burtons W Sauce for dipping. For seafood it is an easy to agree on Snow Crab.
Off to Coborns for the crab. We also needed to drop off some cardboard at the recycling center and we thought we should stock up on some firewood for the outdoor fireplace on the patio.
Turns out they closed shop on the firewood so we decided it time to stop at Giesenbrau for 2 Helles and see how the Gophers were doing. Yeah they were getting beat by Ohio State…no surprise!
Upon returning we had one more beer on the deck to see the sun set. Neighbors Rita Googins and Rick Kittredge stopped by and the dog pound also visited for their ‘treats’. Great Visit!
Dawn started the evening by making the Stuffed Crab Shells for the appetizer!
I cut the New York Steaks up into cubes and then seasoned them the with the W sauce and Salt and Pepper. Chopped up the Garlic Clove for favor during the fry. Chives chopped for final garnish.
Crab legs were rinsed in sink.
